DESCRIPTION:On Thursday\, June 14\, 2018 the Westchester County Medical Society and the Westchester Academy of Medicine held their Annual Meeting at the Westchester Country Club in Rye New York.  About 140 members and guests enjoyed an evening of fellowship with colleagues and family\, great food\, networking\, and the opportunity to interact with some of the WCMS Preferred Partners and sponsors.  Outgoing WCMS President Marshal Peris\, MD was thanked for a wonderful year of excellent leadership. Dr. Peris thanked his colleagues and the administrative staff of the Society and Academy for a great year.  Newly installed President Omar Syed\, MD a neurosurgeon  practicing with Caremount Medical gave his inaugural remarks and spoke about his personal history\, and his plans for the upcoming year\, which include focusing on the the importance of involving our young physician members\, and increasing overall membership by offering services and benefits tailored to employed physicians as well as solo and small practice physicians.  The evening was a great success! \nThe First Annual “Friend of the Society” Award was presented to Edward C. Halperin\, MD\, MA\, Chancellor & CEO NYMC for his oingoing efforts to engage the medical student community with the physician community in Westchester County.  He is also a strong supporter of the Society and a member himself.  Dr. Halperin was on-hand to accept his award and spoke about the history of New York Medical College and the evolution of the relationship between NYMC and the Westchester Coutny Medical Society. \n2018 Souvenir Journal\n \nPhoto of the Event

DESCRIPTION:On Saturday\, August 8\, 2015 Robert Ciardullo\, MD & Kira Geraci-Ciardullo\, MD opened their home for our Annual Pool Party and Barbecue.  More than 70 WCMS Members\, their family & guests were in attendance for the event.  Special guests included Dr. Joseph Maldonado\, President MSSNY; Dr. Malcolm Reid\, President-elect MSSNY; Dr. Adolph Meyer\, Past President Queens County Medical Society; Dr. Nan Hayworth; Dr. Joshua Cohen\, New York County Medical Society; Dr. Michael Goldstein\, President New York County Medical Society; Dr. David Jakubowicz\, President-elect Bronx County Medical Society; Diane Miller\, Executive Director Bronx County Medical Society.  We enjoyed the beautiful sunshine and the amazing atmosphere of the Geraci-Ciardullo home.  A wonderful time was had by all!\n\nWe would like to thank our Pool Party Sponsors:\nCharles J. SUMMARY:Annual Meeting 2015
DESCRIPTION:On Friday\, June 19\, 2015 the Westchester County Medical Society and the Westchester Academy of Medicine held their Annual Meeting at Crabtree’s KittleHouse in Chappaqua.  About 100 members and guests enjoyed an evening of fellowship with colleagues and family\, great food\, networking\, and the opportunity to interact with some of the WCMS Preferred Partners and sponsors.  Outgoing WCMS President Louis McIntyre\, MD was thanked for his outstanding leadership and gave remarks on the importance of volunteer organizations and WCMS in particular.  Newly installed President Thomas Lester\, MD a Hematologist/Oncologist practicing in Mt. Kisco gave his inaugural remarks and spoke about the challenges physicians face going into the future. \nThe 4th Annual “Friend of Medicine” Award was presented to Mary Jane Denzer in recognition of her ongoing strong support and fundraising efforts for not-for-profit healthcare causes including juvenile diabetes and White Plains Hospital. \nA Special “Thank You” to the sponsors of our Annual Meeting
