Members of the Westchester County Medical Society also are members of its sister society, the Westchester Academy of Medicine.  A 501(c)(3) organization, the overall goal of the Westchester Academy of Medicine (WAM) is providing optimal venues and opportunities for member physicians and related health care professionals to participate in continuing medical educational programming. These programs focus on the latest technological and scientific discoveries, improvements and enhancements and are presented with our jointly-sponsored hospitals and our co-sponsored specialty sections.                                                                          

Each year, the Academy sponsors an Essay Contest for Westchester County High School juniors interested in entering the health professions.  Three scholarships are awarded.
